I came across a lot of vintage looking charms for a new line of earrings and necklaces I want to make for my Etsy store. I am so delighted to get to work with materials that remind me of my passions: Architecture, decoration, jewelry and video games. I know you are thinking, “This is quite a weird combination!” Well well well it is. Indeed. ^^

Sleek forms and strongly affirmed geometry are the strongest elements of decoration in the Art Deco movement turning a very utilitarian trash bin into an element of the architectural landscape in the city.

In Bioshock, one of the most beautiful video game I got to play so far, the underwater city of Rapture has stunning detailed elements of the great inspiring Art Deco movement and the dull brassy look of the interiors and the buildings are so appealing to me I think I developed some kind of obsession for brass and antique gold!

So here it is, the first piece of a new collection of jewelry soon available in the store. A very sophisticated yet simple pair of dangling earrings perfect for a night out or a casual day.

I’ve seen a lot of this kind fabric at the store, ready to sew and in different lengths but I never liked the styles. What about making your own? It is not as hard as it seems!

You know you are a knitter when you bring your project with you wherever you go, unfortunately it is always frustrating to postpone your knitting time because you miss one of the necessary little accessories such as a row counter or a measuring tape.
